Overtime and Compensatory Time


OvertimeExternal Link work is paid at the rate specified by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)External Link following provisions applicable to the university. This policy applies to non-exempt employees regardless of title. 

All non-exempt employees should obtain authorization from a supervisor before working over 40 hours. Because the university is a public employer, FLSA allows appropriate compensatory timeExternal Link to be substituted for overtime pay.
