Please be advised that effective immediately all rehires to the University will be required to complete a new I-9 on or before their first day of work.


As a campus, it had not been our policy to require a new I-9 when an employee was rehired if their I-9 Expiration Date in the system had not lapsed.  Recent research identified the “three year” date we were capturing was actually only relevant for retention purposes. 


ePAF does address this requirement, so please be sure to communicate with your rehires that they will receive an onboarding email and will be required to complete the Form I-9.
