On-site New Employee Registration (NER) is being conducted in 15 Jesse Hall from 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Please follow campus protocol regarding social distancing and masks. Coming to NER is specifically to complete the I-9 document. New employees should complete Section 1 of their I-9 on or before their first day of work. Then they follow-up with a trip to NER to complete Section 2 within 3 days of their hire date. This is a federal requirement. The University is subject to penalties if found non-compliant in an audit. Therefore it is imperative new employees attend NER as soon as possible, preferably before they start working.
- NER Information Sheet - Details about attending and successfully completing your New Employee Registration including: location, contact information for NER Office and list of acceptable documents for I-9 verification.
- NER Contact List - Contact information in the event you need to attend NER on another University of Missouri campus (Kansas City, Rolla or St. Louis)
NER is not the same as New Employee Orientation (NEO). Orientation is for new, benefit-eligible employees. The focus of NEO is to present an overview of HR and benefit information.
