After receiving your request, a placement specialist will contact you to better understand your needs, timeline, and budget. Next, we will search our talent pool for the most qualified candidate(s) to fit your needs. SOS handles all the recruitment effort including application screening for your preferred qualifications, reference checks, background checks, and skills testing, at no additional charge. The selected temp will be paid through SOS Temporary Staffing based on the time approved by your department in our TEMPS System .
Temp to Hire
Conveniently hire benefit-eligible employees through our temp-to-hire program without going through the traditional requirements of posting a job! Your department quickly gets a temporary employee plus additional time for you to assess their compatibility and skills with your needs. When you have found the right fit, you must give SOS a two-week notice. Your placement coordinator will assist you with the transfer process. All SOS candidates are subject to the transfer CBC process.
Temps earn an hourly rate based on duties, skills, and experience. We strive to compensate temps adequately. Your placement coordinator will work with you to determine an appropriate rate for your specific request. SOS processes billing on a biweekly basis using the MOCode you provided. Charges will appear in PeopleSoft under account 7080000 unless otherwise requested. The e-billed amount includes the standard hourly rate, appropriate taxes and fees, and service charge.
