The University of Missouri System promotes learning by its students and lifelong learning by Missouri’s citizens, fosters innovation to support economic development, and advances the health, cultural, and social interests of the people of Missouri, the nation, and the world”.
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for MU, UM System, MU Healthcare, and Extension employees! Beginning fall semester 2014, regular administrative, service, and support employees who have completed six months of continuous employment prior to registration will have the opportunity to participate in a pilot of expanded coverage of HR-303 Educational Assistance to include the MU High School, an accredited online diploma program. HR-303 Educational Assistance provides a seventy-five percent discount on tuition and supplemental fees for eligible employees enrolled in college level courses; the same discount will be applied to MU High School tuition for pilot participants. In addition, the University of Missouri College of Education and Mizzou K-12 Online have generously volunteered to sponsor the remaining tuition cost and applicable fees for MU High School Pilot participants. Plus, a partnership with MBS Direct will assist with the cost of required textbooks. As with college level courses, the benefit will be capped at one and a half units during the spring and fall semesters (three courses) and one half unit during the summer (one course). The MU High School Pilot is currently approved for two years.
Please encourage friends and coworkers to take advantage of this new opportunity! Interested employees may contact MU Human Resource Services for additional information at 573-882-7976 or MU HRS MU High School Pilot@missouri.edu During the enrollment process, students will be matched with an adviser. The adviser will assess their transcript, including international coursework, to determine the number and type of credits needed to graduate. Additional information can be obtained on the MU High School website.
