Adult education seminars

These seminars are offered through the Columbia Area Career Center. University employees taking these selected courses are eligible for tuition assistance from the university.

To request a course catalog, get additional course information or inquire about special accommodations to assist in seminar participation, contact the Professional and Community Education office at the Columbia Area Career Center at 573-241-3803.

Enrollment

To take advantage of tuition assistance, you must enroll with this enrollment form.

Note: You will not be granted tuition assistance if you enroll using the Columbia Area Career Center's online process.

E-mail

E-mail the completed form to your supervisor, who should then forward it to HRS if he or she approves your request.

Fax

Send the form, with your supervisor's signature, to 573-882-9975.

Mail

Obtain your supervisor's signature and mail the form to HRS at 201 S. Seventh St., Room 130, Heinkel Building, University of Missouri, Columbia, MO 65211.

Tuition assistance

Funds have been allocated by HRS to pay 100 percent of the course fees for one course per MU campus staff member per semester. HRS funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Books and supplies

Costs for books and supplies are the responsibility of the employee.

Cancellations

Employees who are unable to attend seminars in which they've enrolled must cancel at least four working days prior to the time of the scheduled seminar. Notify HRS of the cancellation at 573-882-2943.

UM System and MU Health Care employees

Please check with your HR office to determine eligibility and to learn how to enroll.
