Staff Job Title and Salary Study

In 2010 Human Resource Services conducted a pilot study, the Staff Job Title and Salary Study, to assess our compensation and classification programs.  The study involved 400 employees in over 120 Student Support Services job titles.  Using the new Global Grading System (GGS) we collected market data and developed pay grades to create a new compensation structure.  We were also able to reduce the 120 titles by grading and consolidating job titles that shared similar duties and responsibilities. Some employees titles changed as a result of the study but no employees lost pay.

We are pleased to announce that as a result of the pilot study the University of Missouri - Board of Curators approved a comprehensive review of staff titles in all ten of the global groups.  The project is currently underway and will continue until all designated staff titles have been reviewed.  A full list of the global groups, in the order they are to be reviewed, can be found here.
