Core Administrative Processing Support (CAPS) Centers process HR transactions for all faculty, staff, student and courtesy appointments for divisions currently participating in HRS-CAPS Centers. This results in:

- Department staff with more time to work on department business
All policy issues, processing deadlines, regulatory compliance concerns that can be connected to various personnel actions are handled by highly trained staff with direct access to HR professionals. In addition to centralizing the onboarding process for new employees, HRS-CAPS Centers handle all PeopleSoft processing of personnel actions for respective divisions. Work authorization verifications are also taken care of by the Centers, alleviating the need for department staff to stay up-to-date on all the I-9 employment eligibility regulations.
