The University of Missouri was founded in 1839 in Columbia, Mo., as the first public university west of the Mississippi River. Today, MU is a $2.1 billion enterprise and an important investment for the state and nation. Considered one of the nation’s top-tier institutions, Mizzou is the flagship campus of the University of Missouri System. The state’s most comprehensive university, MU offers more than 300 degree programs through 19 colleges and schools and is one of only five universities in the nation with law, medicine, veterinary medicine and a nuclear research reactor on one campus. MU has a diverse enrollment, with 35,000 students representing every county in Missouri, every state in the nation and 120 countries.
Dean of the School of Law
The School of Law is a full-time J.D. and L.L.M.- granting institution, and is home to 37 full-time faculty and approximately 320 students. MU was the first U.S. law school to offer an L.L.M. exclusively focused on dispute resolution and consistantly ranks as one of the top law schools in that field. Dean of the Truman School of Public Affairs
The Truman School of Public Affairs is home to 22 full-time and jointly-appointed faculty members, 15 affiliated faculty members, six policy research analysts, and approximately 275 students. The school offers an interdisciplinary PhD., a Master of Public Affairs (MPA), and five graduate certificates. The MPA program is available on the MU campus, in Jefferson City, and on-line.
