Research Associate - Growth Models (090211)

Position: Applications for a research associate position are invited by the Office of Social and Economic Data Analysis (OSEDA), Division of Applied Social Sciences, College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, University of Missouri-Columbia. The successful candidate will collaborate in conducting public policy analysis and professional development at OSEDA.

Responsibilities: Responsiblities will include: helping design and manage large-scale data collection and database management activities; conducting longitudinal statistical analyses, including hierarchial linear modeling, to estimate educational growth models; preparing results for presentations, including preparation of tables, charts, graphs and maps; writing research reports, presenting findings; experience and detailed understanding of how to estimate student growth percentiles using advanced regression techniques is essential as well as experience safeguarding confidential research records. Support policy-relevant research activities. Engage in collaborative research.

Minimum Qualifications: The position requires an earned Doctoral degree in Sociology or related field and a minimum of two years quantitative analysis, demonstrated ability using statistical systems to estimate growth models, and demonstrated ability conducting and supporting policy-relevant research activities.
