Probation and paid time off

All new benefit eligible staff employees are subject to a six-month probation upon their hire. The following chart describes your ability to use the various types of paid time off while you are probationary:

  May use during probationary period
Holidays Yes  
Personal days Yes (may use up to 2 days during first six months) If probation extended, remaining days may be used

Sick leave Yes (use as they are accrued)  
Vacation  No
Funeral leave Yes  
Jury duty Yes  
Military leave
Voting Yes
